What Hullpick keeps, and what it does not.
The Fit Finder
Your answers travel in the page address so a result can be shared or printed. Nothing about them is written to the database.
The Crowd Tally
Hullpick stores only two numbers per boat type: how many said yes and how many said no. To allow one answer per type per day, it keeps daily counters keyed by a salted hash of your address; they are deleted within three days.
The shortlist
Your shortlist is one cookie in your browser holding the names of the types you picked, nothing else. It is not stored on the server. Removing every type deletes the cookie.
Logs, cookies and backups
The web server keeps a standard access log (address, time, page, browser) for security and troubleshooting. Forms set a security-token cookie that stops other sites from posting into this one. There are no tracking or advertising cookies, no outside scripts and no sign-ups.
This site’s own nightly database copies are kept for 14 days. WeldonPC.com also backs up the whole server on its own schedule. No email is collected, nothing is sold, and no one else receives your data. Questions: weldonpc.com/contact.
